There are two types of bleeding: internal and external.
In Thai medicine, method of stopping bleeding is known as 'hanle' which refers to improving blood circulation and stopping bleeding.
Internal bleeding can be stopped by using a combination of herbs. For example stomach bleeding can be cured by boiling diosorea cirrhosa lour (金花果), bistorta paleacea (弓腰老) and cordyline fruticosa (朱蕉) together and then adding powder of daemonorops draco (血竭).
External bleeding can be treated with a combination of: dolichos tenuicaulis (大麻药), chonemorpha valvata (藤仲), paris polyphylla smith (重楼草) and chloranthus elatior (鱼子兰) ground into powder and applied on the wound.
