Medicine For Invulnerability (刀抢不入)

There are many magical elements hidden within Thai medicine and there is no clear separation line between a herbalist and a magician. For example: Invulnerability rituals exist in all schools of Thai magic and also the cult is described in Thai medicinal texts; though I doubt that anyone would practise the ones in the old texts.

Invulnerability ritual is known as 'yakong'. There are a few formula described but mostly with intelligible herbal names. I selected three rituals to share:

Ritual 1

A herbalist must prepare some money normally around $100, one piece of white or red cloth and 8 pieces of white candles. After that he must go to 'invite' one piece of schisandra henryi root (云南五味子).

The root should be kept in the house until full moon when another similar ritual with offerings shall be performed.

This herbalist must then recite the mantra:

O KONGKONG, MAHA KONGKONG, SVAHA KONG! (7X)

After the ritual, the empowered root shall be kept on the altar of the herbalist. In the event of war, the herbalist can keep this root close to him and he shall not be harm in any means. No weapons shall be able to hurt him.

Ritual 2

A herbalist must get a piece of smilax glabra (光叶菝葜) root and empower it with the below mantra:

O NAMO BUDDHAYA, O NAMO DHARMAYA, O NAMO SANGHAYA.
O PINJAKUN, PINJAKONG, PINJALANG, PINJALIANG, PINJASILARANGJINATAM, O SIANTANA, PANTANENG, MANGSANGKUJINPANSIANG, TOGUSIANGPANPIN, OPINJA, KONGKONGTULUNGLIE, DIESVAHA!

The above mantra should be recited at least 7 times but the more the better.

The ritual should start on the first day of Lunar Month till the end of the month. After that the herbalist can consume the root.

It is said that once the ritual is successfully done, nothing can harm him not even one single hair. Also the person cannot be cremated after death.

Ritual 3

Take 7 grains of pepper seeds and recite the mantra in Ritual 2. After that the pepper seeds are rubbed against one's body.

It is said that no sharp object can harm him.

Of course, the above rituals are for reference only. Try at your own risks!
